Steelhead fishing in the Lake Ontario tributaries has been excellent this season. Good water flows have been the norm with many fish being hooked. We have been hitting Maxwell creek, Salmon creek (Pultneyville), Bear creek and Irondequoit creek regularly. Top flies have been Glo Bugs in pink and oregon cheese along with egg sucking leeches and wooly buggers in black or purple. As we roll into February and March the fishing should only get better!
